Level 1 - C. S. Lewis

This is the space to post reviews of C. S. Lewis's books (just click on 'Comments').
C. S. Lewis (1898 - 1963) was an Irish writer and scholar. He was a friend of J. R. R. Tolkein (author of Lord of the Rings) and like Tolkien he served as a soldier in WW1. His most famous books are The Chronicles of Narnia.
The Library has all 7 books in the Chronicles of Narnia series.

The book that i have read is called 'The lion the witch and the wardrobe' by C.S Lewis.
The lion the witch and the wardrobe is about four children called Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy. They step through a magical wardrobe and embark on a big adventure.
I enjoyed the book because it was intersting and you wanted to read to the end of the book. My favourite event in the book was when Lucy first found narnia because you did'nt know what was going to happen.
I think the book is suitable for teenagers because its a good adventure story but it would be hard for young children to read.
My favourite character was Lucy because she was the person who found narnia and because she was right about naria but no one believes her but she told the truth and because she is a intersting character to read about.
My other favourite character was Aslan becuse he knew the magic to come bak to life when he was killed and he always helped the children get around narnia safely he would'nt anybody and he was selfless and kind.
I really enjoyed the lion the witch and the wardrobe it is one of my favourite books.
