The book i have read is Up on Cloud Nine by Anne Fine.This book is about two boys who are best friends.Though one of the boys Stuart (Stolly) has had a accident,after falling out a window!
Stolly is in quite bad condition,after falling out the window.He has to go to hospital where the book is set.
The other boy Ian was found in a dustbin when he was a baby.He was adopted but still calls the people who adopted him mum and dad.
Stollys mum and dad are always at work and and never see him.Stolly is more of a son to Ian and Dads mum.
The ones that are at Stollys bedside is Ian and his mum.Stollys dad manages to vist for a bit,though his mum can t get away from work.
While Ian sits at his best friends bedside,he writes a book all about Stolly.All the good times him and Stolly had together.How Stolly is different from everybody.
Eventully Stolly wakes up and Ian is there.Stolly tells Ian he doesn t want to tell how he fell out the window.So until He tells the truth about the accident.Ian tells the police a story that he fell by mistake.Now all that matters is Stolly Getting better .Good read
The Granny Project by Anne Fine.
The four children were living with their mum , dad and granny and they find out that granny is going to a home. The children meet up and discuss ways of stopping granny going away. Nicholas had a bad dream of granny crying and he woke screaming and crying. The next day granny decides to vote for the election. They found out that granny wasted a vote so they couldn't vote again. The next night they have a party and this time it is Tanya screaming because she had a bad dream about granny. The house that granny might be going to phoned and mum and dad asked if they could go and visit. The family went to see if the house was nice. The children made up a granny project for school. They were all discussing it and ended up fighting over it. Dad finds the granny project and reads it. He was really mad and started shouting at Ivan. Ivan found out that granny isn't going to the home so he burns the granny project. Mum and dad decide that the children should look after granny from now on and they do a good job and make her a special pillow for her birthday. Ivan gets ill and has to stay in bed so he couldn't look after granny. When he was better he passed the cough onto gran and she took it really bad and got really ill. The doctor knew she was going to die. The family found out that she died during the night and they all went to her funeral. I didn't really enjoy this book because it was boring and hard to follow. I think this book is for people aged 12-13 years old.
