The book i have recently read in class is 'Sophie's Lucky' by Dick-King Smith.
The book is about a girl called Sophie. She is seven. She wants to be a farm lady when she grows up. Sophie has an Aunt Al who is really nice to her. They go up to Scotland to see her. And sophie gets to look after a pony while shes up there. But when they leave Aunt Al goes ill and dies. She had changed her will recently and left all ger belongings to Sophies family. They all move upto Scotland. The boys have been left hundreds of money and Sophie has got the farm. On new years they all move upto the big house and they all get a late Christmas present. The boys get a bike each and Sophie gets a new Pony. She is soo happy.
I really like this book because all the characters and setting is really nice. My favourite character is Sophie because she was a little nice girl and always helped her Aunt Al.
I think book is suitable for all ages because the words are easy and there is nice pictures.
I think Dick-King Smith is a good wwritter and I would read more of his books.
