Lemony Snicket is the pseudonym for author Daniel Handler. Lemony Snicket is the narrator of the Series of Unfortunate Events, of which there are 13 books. A film was made of the series, starring Jim Carrey as Count Olaf.
The Library has all of the books in the series, apart from the ones that are missing!

This book is about three children, Violet,Klaus and Sunny.Their parents die in a fire and their mansion is burnt down. They have to go and live with their parents friend Mr.Poe until he finds a home for them>They end up living with a distant relative. Count Olaf he is a horrible man.He makes them do a whole lot of chores and even makes them make a meal for his theatre group. he has a plan to get a hold of their fortune, and even puts the baby Sunny in a cage hanging from a tower in order to get it.Will he get a hold of it ........read it to find out! I really liked the book because it was really exciting and you couldnt work out what would happen next.My favourite event was when Violet tried to rescue Sunny, because I wasnt sure if she would make it.My favourite character was Justice Strauss
A series of unfortunate events- Wide window
This book is a follow on from the other Series of unfortunate events-a Bad begining and The Reptile room.Violet, Klaus and Sunny are orphans as their parents died in a fire they were left to be looked after by their parents friend Mr.Poe but so far he hasn't done a very good job.There is a man called Count Olaf out to get them as their parents left them a big fortune.This time he is in disguise as a sailor called Captain Sham.He fools there Aunt(who looks after them)and it ends up that she runsaway.In the end Aunt Josephine dies due to Count Olaf but unfortunatley he gets away.My favourite character in this book was Aunt Josephine because she is a really strange character.She is just about scared of all her household objects and is also scared of the lake near her house and the strangre thing is, that she lives in a house that has stilts and thats on a hill right next to the lake.My favourite part to the book was when Sunny bit Captain Shams fake peg leg to reveal his real leg,with a tatoo which proved he was Count Olaf.It was just seemed quite funny that Count Olaf was caught! I wouldn't recommend it to all my friends as it isnt there type of book,but I thought it was really good.
