I really enjoyed 'Fogging Over'and saw how bad conditions were during Victorian times. The book is about a girl called Mel Beeby who died when she was thirteen years old and became an angel. She is very happy and has lots of friends but her best friend is called Lola. When Lola goes away to an adventure camp and Mel stays to help at the prschoolers summer camp, Mel starts to miss her but when Lola returns she has a big surprise for Mel. Brice, her arch enemy, goes out with Lola. Back at school they have to go in threes to a different time but when Mel wants to go to Elizabethan times during 1888 her friend Reuban doesn't want to join them, so Lola asks Brice to go with them which makes Mel mad. When the agency (which is the angel HQ) confirms their trip they set of but end up in the middle of a desert with an old man. They help the man and take him to a house where nuns help him to get better. Then they beam themselves to real Victorian times where they find the person they have to follow. His name is Goergie and he is quite young. They find out he has a sister called Charlotte who works for a lady called Minerva who holds seances. Georgie also has a rich uncle Noel who wants Georgie (who is actually a girl) and Charlotte dead so he can gain their inheritance. Mel, Brice and Lola help them, Noel gets put in prison and Minerva adopts the children. Mel, Brice and Lola return to the agency as friends.

Flying High by Annie Dalton.

Helix is an angel and is planning a party for her friend Lola. So they both get on a boat to go to the party. They land on the island and they walk to the other side and everyone shouts surprise and start singing happy birthday. After the party they gp time travelling to France. There are french children going to Jeruselum and these people offer to sail them there but the angels find out that they are actually going to kidnap then so the angels save them. After France they go time travelling again. They end up getting caught in a school in the 23rd century. A boy called Brice comes with a ladder and saves them. Brice is the son of the de Winters, who want to take over the future, but Helix and her friends didn't know. Brice takes them to dinner with his family. The de Winters wants the device that can control the time travelling but the angels don't give them it and they save the future. I liked the book because it is different from the other books beacuse its about angels. I think the book is sutible for people around the age of 11-12.

The book I have recently read is 'Fogging Over' by Annie Dalton it is about a girl called Melanie(Mel).
At first she tells her life story and about her enemies and her best friends, Mek went to meet her best friend Lola and her enemy Brice was there. Brice decided that he woould work with Lola and Mel for a project. To work on the project they went back in time to Australia, the first thing they had to do was save and old man.
They then realised that they had travelled to the time when Jack the Ripper was killing people. Brice kept telling Lola about horrible things that happened in those times and that made Lola want to go home. The three of them watched a woman prtend she as talking to spirits they they found out that she wasn't pretending, they just used pretend ghosts to make it feel real because some people don't believe that it happens.
They went to Jack the Ripper's home territory. They met a little boy and followed him, they found out that his sister was ill, she had a very bad cough and it slowed her down.
Jack the Ripper walked right past Georgie and he was very scared. Lola starts to get mad at Mel and Brice because they keep fighting ver her. The all discover that Georgie isn't a boy, that he is a girl and that Georgie's uncle Noel loved Georgie's mum very much.
Mel and Brice start to get along and Lola starts talking to them properly again.
I didn't really enjoy this book because it was a bit boring and confusing. I think this book is suitable for 10-13 year olds because it is a small book. I think people who like history would enjoy this book the most.
